Po Po’s ( which means “Grandma” in Chinese) was launched in 2007 by a Vancouver mom, Karen Stark following the birth of her daughter Lily.
In 2011, it was passed onto fellow Vancouver mom, Sharon Shum after the birth of her own daughter, Sophie.
Hello all.
I remember growing up wearing a poncho and how simple it was to just throw one on. After Sophie was born, it was only natural to get one for her rather than fight a daily battle with her over sleeves.
I found Po Po’s Ponchos online and was so excited! This has got to be the most functional and versatile article of clothing for Sophie to date. But not only is it very practical, it’s totally cute! Every time she’d wear it out in public, I’d get comments from people…even perfect strangers.
So when I found out Karen was looking to pass on this business to someone who had a passion for these ponchos, I was completely on board! Functional, fashionable and fun – how can you go wrong?
Once you see these ponchos, I’m sure you’ll feel the same way about them as I do.
Sincerely,
Sharon
